We went to our cabin in Logan canyon over the weekend and had a fun, exciting, scary and very eventful time.
The boys went hunting Saturday AM EARLY and it was hard to sleep in the cabin without the men around. The girls went to town for an hour or two then we came back and went for a hike to the spring. For some reason we were freaked out and turned around shortly.( a couple cabins up) The boys did come back for a bit then left for more
pheasants. For some reason we chose to rake up leaves and play around the cabin.
A couple hours later the canyon seemed to fill up with every type of law enforcement and they all stopped just past our cabin( a couple cabins up). We walked down to where they had crime scene tape and had people all over the side of the hill searching for things. I knew something bad had happened but assumed it was at the side of the highway so we were looking up trying to see what was going on and again I didn't look across at the other side of the river. We hurried back to the cabin again feeling very strange. An hour or so later some investigators came down and asked me how long we had been there and if we had seen or heard anything and who had been there before us. I told them I was alone with the girls and asked if I should be concerned about anything or anyone, they just told us not to go up the path and there are always bad guys around. We did have a fun dinner cooking hot dogs over the fire. The older two and I had an extremely long night knowing someone had died but not knowing what was going on.
Sunday we tried to have a fun day even though we were still surrounded by cops. We went hiking on the trails and let the kids slide down the mud hill. When we got home It was really weird to find out about the homicide. I know the kids and I were blessed not to see anything in front of us both times we headed down the path. I still question how we didn't but I am
truly thankful we didn't.

Climbing and Sliding down the mud slide

We had fun playing games and being together.

The kids had a blast helping me rake leaves and riding back and forth on the wheel barrow.
