CORNBELLY'S

We went to CornBelly's corn maze and pumpkin fest yesterday and had alot of fun even though it was extremely hot.

Kylie and Leah liked playing in the pumpkin princess land.

Dad even drove the coach to the ball.

The kids liked racing the pedal cars.

Go Leah! Dad and Nate don't have a chance.

Go Carrie!

Traffic jam

Charles

Most of us went through the haunted creature which was dark and had things hanging down like his heart. We had fun and laughed as Nate screamed more than us girls.

We went through the David Archuleta corn maze and had fun getting lost and scaring each other.

September

Wow this month went by too quick.

Blake and Charles took a Reffing seminar and both will start reffing this season. They both have also started playing Hockey. Blake still plays with Gibbs and Charles' team is called the Minnesota Bull Dogs.

Charles just completed Hunters safety and did awesome on his shooting and test.

September seems like it has been a month of pain for the kids. Carrie had her finger smashed between two desks Wednesday and we spent the day at the Doctors, but luckily no fracture; Then Kylie fell a couple of times on her way to school leaving a few good scars; Then a couple of weeks ago Charles hit the cement playing football and messed up his side. This picture was taken a week later.

Leah on the other hand lucked out. We went to her primary teacher- Stephanie's wedding reception last Saturday. Stephanie was beautiful and gave Leah her flowers after the reception. Leah was soo excited! She couldn't believe she got to keep the bouquet.

Flaming Gorge

We went to Flaming Gorge this weekend with Blake's family and we had a blast. We went Thursday on Kylie's Birthday and the first two days were beautiful. We enjoyed alot of swimming, boating, sight seeing and sun. We watched the boat parade this year from camp which was a smaller parade than usual but ended with some awesome fireworks that we still watched from the boat.(it was just parked this year). Then the Wind came Sunday and blew the camp around and we ended with the never ending rain and thunderstorms that seemed to rock the whole canyon it was incredible to listen to while we tried to sleep.(which I am soo thankful to Sheryl who took the girls in her trailer that night.) We woke up to a very wet tent. All of our boats were drenched as well, even with the covers on our boats were filled with water. I think the temperature had started in the upper 80's that weekend and ended in the lower 40's. It was quite the adventure and we will always have the greatest memories from it now.

Here is a picture of Kylie and Leah at the overlook of sheep creek.

Here is the view at the overlook tower on the way to the dam.

Kylie's Birthday

Wednesday night Grandma Vada came over for Kylie's Bday eve she gave her this cute outfit and we let her open some of her birthday gifts too.

Kylie is trying to blow her candles out below.

Thursday-August 28th on Kylie's birthday we went to Flaming Gorge and set up camp at the Lucerne campground. There were Antelope running through the camp the whole weekend which excited the girls.

Playing Ol Sal with Grandpa and Grandma Despain

That night we celebrated Kylie's birthday again this time with Grandpa and Grandma Despain. We put 6 matches in a cupcake (since I forgot candles) and let Kylie have another try with birthday candles.

Good Times/Good Friends

My friend Wendy is in town this week so some of the college roomates got together yesterday at the Jordan River Park. We all brought our families (except Blake who had a playoff game at the same time) had dinner, visited and let the kids play. It was so amazing to think the whole play area was full of our kids, who were half grown up already. We missed you and your family Michele but know your where you need to be. We had a blast and truly realized again the importance of good friends and great relationships. I love you girls! Take care!

My kids plus one more to help Charles even the score.
