The Tree

We finally decorated the tree tonight. Which I can't believe I haven't got to yet. Things are soo busy lately. Saturday Carrie had a basketball game, Blake reffed hockey and Charles and Blake both had hockey games so we were again running around. But anyway the lights are on and the kids enjoyed putting on the decorations.

The kids had fun taking turns with holding the lights for dad.

McKell and Michael's Wedding

Blake's niece McKell got married Friday. It was a very nice ceremony. The weather was cold but nice.

Week of Birthdays

Charles had two wrestling meets on Monday and Wednesday. I sure have a hard time watching them.

Grandma Evans Birthday was on Tuesday and we had piano lessons, mutual and tending the neighbor kids so we didn't make it to her house that day but had gone earlier in the week to wish her a Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great day and sorry we didn't make it back on Tuesday. We love ya!

Wednesday we had a nice Relief society dinner and I also had a meeting with the bishop. I am now the 2nd counselor in the primary. I'm pretty excited to serve as a counselor with some amazing women.

We went to Grandma Vada's on Thursday for her birthday. We had pizza and cake, it was alot of fun.

December fun

Thursday Charles had his warriors cup wrestling meet at Taylorsville High and he did awesome. He has improved greatly. Eisenhower won the cup this year! We are very excited!!

Friday night I had the opportunity to go through the temple with McKell to get her endowments. I just got my recommend renewed after almost 5 years and had tried to go to the Jordan River Temple on Tuesday night so I would be more composed but it was closed for two weeks. So that being soo I was very emotional and thank McKell for sharing her special day with me. It was awesome to go again. Meridith and Annette kept the tissues and support coming. I think that was the first time I've been with any of Blake's family on a session and it was great. Ron and Charlie are both awesome men and it was great to share the spirit with them.

Saturday Carrie had her first Basketball game and won. She made 4 points and played awesome, I think they won by 20. she would of made the Jazz proud. After her game we went to Blake's hockey game and his team had a great game too. They lost by one but Blake was on fire too. It must of been a family thing because later that evening Charles was firing it up too. Nate took video to prove it. (Blake and I missed it to go to The Roof for his company party. It was great food and a gorgeous view.) It was a very busy day but fun.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner at Grandma Vada's house.

Landon and Carrie enjoying the food.

The food was amazing, down to the homemade apple pies that Vada and Sheryl made.

Vada, Lexi, Sheryl, Mike and Bryan kicking back. I think we all ate too much-but it was worth it.

Kyle and Ron.

Even Popeye came.

Kyle with Chenell and her family.

Later we went to see Grandpa Charlie and Annette. I love holidays and spending time with family; Its always great.

Later that evening Linda and I thought we would spend an all nighter at walmart-what an adventure. Now I know why I haven't been in the past years. We had fun even though I don't remember much after 9 or 10 am when we tried a couple of other stores.

Hogle Zoo

We went to Hogle Zoo today with Aunt Brenda, Taryn, Brenda's friend Stephanie with her two boys, Cindy and her kids and her friend Dixie and her two boys. It was actually a beautiful day.

What a smile.

The globe was a favorite with the kids even if they got wet and cold.

We had fun on the train.

We even had time for a boat ride til Charles jumped in.

The rhino was a favorite with the kids. Mitchell loved it.

We all loved the gorilla.
